Frequently Asked Questions

The Membership
What is concierge medicine?
Concierge medicine is a membership-based model where, instead of billing insurance per visit, patients pay an annual fee for direct access to their physician — longer visits, faster access, and a smaller patient panel so there's real time for you.
What's included in a visit?
Unlimited office visits, extended appointment times (up to 60 minutes), direct access to Dr. Yun between visits, and a comprehensive annual wellness exam. See the Care page for the full list.
Are in-office procedures included?
Your membership includes your physician visits and the time we spend together. In-office procedures — such as joint injections, skin procedures, or cosmetic treatments — are billed separately based on the service provided. Any additional cost will always be discussed with you in advance.
What if I need a specialist?
Dr. Yun coordinates referrals and stays involved in your care alongside any specialist, so nothing falls through the cracks.
What is a Founding Member?
Founding Members are the patients who join the practice during its inaugural year. As a thank-you for building this practice with Dr. Yun from the very beginning, their Founding Member rate is honored for their first three years of membership. To qualify, your first annual membership payment must be received by December 31, 2026.
How does membership work?
Membership is billed annually and covers your visits with Dr. Yun directly — there's no per-visit charge and no insurance billing. 2026 Founding Member rates:
Adults$3,000 / year
Children ages 10–15$750 / year
Children ages 16–26$1,500 / year
Child memberships accompany a parent membership. Your first annual membership payment must be received by December 31, 2026 to receive the Founding Member rate, honored for your first three years of membership.
Do you accept insurance?
The practice does not bill insurance. Membership covers your visits with Dr. Yun directly. Outside labs, imaging, specialists, and prescriptions are billed by those providers separately, and you're welcome to submit those to your insurance yourself. We recommend keeping a separate insurance plan for hospitalization and specialist care.
Can I use my HSA or FSA?
Eligibility for HSA or FSA reimbursement can vary depending on your plan and the services provided. Please check with your plan administrator or tax advisor regarding your individual eligibility. An itemized receipt can be provided upon request.
How do I get started?
If you're ready to become a patient, you can enroll directly as a Founding Member. If you'd prefer to learn more first, schedule a Complimentary Meet & Greet — a short, no-pressure conversation with Dr. Yun to ask questions and see whether the practice is the right fit.
Do I have to schedule a Meet & Greet before joining?
No. If you already know you'd like to become a patient, you're welcome to enroll directly. The Complimentary Meet & Greet is simply there if you'd like to talk with Dr. Yun or learn more before joining.
Can I cancel my membership?
Yes, at any time with written notice. You'll receive a prorated refund for the unused portion of your current term.
The Care
Do you prescribe hormone therapy?
Yes. Dr. Yun has specialized training in menopause medicine through The Menopause Society and evaluates and prescribes hormone therapy when it's appropriate, as part of a broader plan that also considers heart, bone, and metabolic health — not hormones in isolation.
Is this practice in-person or virtual?
Both virtual and in-person visits are available, and Dr. Yun will recommend whichever fits your care best. Many things — follow-ups, medication management, quick questions — can be handled easily by video or phone, while physical exams and procedures happen in person.
Do you see the whole family, or just adults?
Both. Membership covers care for every stage of life, and child memberships are available for ages 10–26 alongside a parent's membership.
Do you see patients in Korean?
Yes — Dr. Yun is fluent in Korean and can conduct your full visit in Korean if you prefer.
What happens after hours?
Members can reach Dr. Yun directly by text, call, or email for non-emergency needs. For true emergencies, always call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
Can I get prescription refills without an appointment?
In many cases, yes — just message Dr. Yun directly. No separate visit or portal required for routine refills.
